Jane Mitchell’s career began in television broadcasting at the BBC in the early 1980’s, where she learned her crafts of communication and engagement from the best that live television had to offer. She moved to producing award-winning corporate films and video and subsequently developed ground breaking employee engagement programmes working with clients in the UK public sector and multi-national private sector clients. In 2006 she formed her consultancy JL&M. Here she focuses her attention on helping organisations of all sizes to embed ethics and values-based cultures, through the development and facilitation of leadership and team programmes, one to one coaching and the creation of communication strategies and materials.
Her experience in leadership development, transformation and culture change is broad-ranging and she is often part of large-scale change projects. In recent years Jane has worked with a variety of global organisations including Q8, Airbus, Serco, BP, Tesco, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce.
Going back to her communications roots, Jane speaks and writes regularly on culture and leadership. The recently published Yearbook 2021 for Global Ethics, Compliance & Integrity features Jane’s favourite subject of connecting dots, which she believes sits at the heart of successful and collaborative communities.
Jane is a Board director of leading engagement agency, Karian and Box and Chair of the EO Trust of the innovative built environment agency, LDA Design. She was also elected Fellow of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in 2021 and is chair of this year’s virtual World Conference.
