Ted Polakowski has worked in various corporate management assignments in the communications, electronics and energy industries. His career has spanned more 40 years, with the last 25 years being deeply involved in all aspects of environment, health and safety ("EHS") management.
Resiliti's clients benefit from his decades of experience in building compliance management systems and audit schemes. His expertise in EHS requirements, merged with his management system knowledge, led to the development and continued operation of enterprise-wide compliance assurance systems in two global companies.
Ted is also a co-founder of Davessa, LLC, where he is responsible for the identification and architectural development of software tools and applications, including EHS-focused solutions.
Prior to his work with Resiliti and Davessa, Ted was Senior Vice President at Citation Technologies Inc., where he was responsible for the global product portfolio, "Citation Compliance Suite," including software applications that allowed users to determine, solve and manage their EHS compliance needs.
Previous to his Citation role, Ted was the Director of HSSE Compliance at BP. During this time he was responsible for developing an HSSE Compliance framework and supporting tools used by BP facilities worldwide in the deployment of the BP Operating Management System. One supporting tool was the predecessor to Citation Compliance Suite.
Prior to his role at BP, Ted was the Agere Systems (and its predecessor companies, Lucent Technologies and AT&T Microelectronics business) Director of Environment, Health and Safety Assurance. As Director, he was responsible for development and implementation of a consistent, world-class ISO 14001and BS8800 third-party certified environment and safety management system at all of its major facilities globally.
Ted holds a certification as an Occupational Safety Professional at the Master Level. He is the recipient of the 1999 Electronic Industry Alliance’s Environmental Leadership award and the 1998 National Association of Environmental Management organization’s Corporate Environmental Award. Under Ted's leadership, the Lucent Technologies Microelectronics business' global environmental management system was one of only 10 corporate participants chosen by the EPA to participate in the Clinton-Gore Administration's "Project XL" for environmental regulatory reinvention.
Ted holds six patents in the field of printed wiring board processing.
Ted earned both his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and his M.S. in Management of Research & Development from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
